The Mons Christmas Market held in the Grand Place which brings festive magic to this historic city. The city planned lot of activities in this festival to wow children and adults and its very famous throughout Wallonia, in fact in whole Belgium. Mons is located in the heart of the Wallonia region of Belgium and during this festival it completely transforms into a magical winter wonderland. Illuminated with fairy lights, more than 100 beautiful decorated wooden chalets, lovely backdrop of historical buildings, a Ferris wheel, and an ice rink which makes it the perfect destination for both families and couples.

When I visited this Christmas Market i was so flabbergasted to see the overwhelming crowd laughing and enjoying the place, beautiful magical colorful lights were everywhere, big gift in the center, decorated wooden huts, local food and handicraft things, so much to see around me. Actually i went there after a 15 km hike, was tired so i took hot wine and from the terrace i saw whole lighting effect and it was lovely experience to watch.

After that I went for a short walk around the market and to some streets to see the decoration and charm of the city. Many shops and streets were fully decorated nicely. All the local cafes were full of people and there were so much to explore around. For me, It was really an unforgettable experience. I would suggest all the travelers who are putting this in their travel list then make sure plan in advance and check the festival dates and duration too.
